Ghostnote

Bio

Ghostnote Collective is a San Diego-based independent label and production collective rooted in punk independence, indie DIY culture, and hip hop’s independent hustle and movement.

Founded by producer and songwriter Andrew Pringle, Ghostnote grew out of a creative partnership with FM Blue. What started as friendship and creation evolved into something bigger — shaping songs with intention, building sound from the ground up, and creating a structure where artists can move independently long term. FM Blue remains a core artist and contributor to the label.

Our foundation comes from West Coast independent culture — warehouse shows, self-released cassettes, underground rap sessions, community art spaces — where you learn early that if you want control, you build your own system.

Ghostnote blends hands on production, songwriting collaboration, publishing strategy, physical releases, and career advisory into one ecosystem. From first demo to distribution, we focus on building catalogs that hold value over time.

Punk taught us independence.
Indie taught us sustainability.
Hip hop taught us to move on our own terms.

We are not a content mill.
We are not a major label cosplay.

We build careers. Not moments.
